Since it first dropped from the aether in the '70s, the StingRay has retained all of its vintage styling and, because this is a more recent reissue, the sound has a more modern and defined edge to it. This is partly thanks to the resonance of the solid poplar body, which has been given a snug and ergonomic, lightly offset shape before being mounted with a pair of Music Man designed passive humbuckers.
